Twisted Axles 4WD club is a not for profit organization of members from the Central New York area formed in 1999.
Twisted Axles 4WD Club was formed by employees of New Venture Gear in Syracuse, the company behind the transmissions and transfer cases found in many four-wheel-drive vehicles. Their shared passion for off-roading and exploring the limits of their rigs brought them together and sparked the creation of our club. We welcome anyone who shares an interest in 4WD vehicles. New members receive hands-on training in safe, responsible off-roading to minimize impact on their vehicles and the environment. Seasoned wheelers will find plenty of excitement and challenge on our diverse trail rides.
Our membership includes individuals from all walks of life—ranging from Chief Home Officers, engineers, mechanics, and retirees. The club’s mission is to promote safe, responsible four-wheeling while strongly supporting the principles of the Tread Lightly! program. Twisted Axles is committed to giving back through volunteer programs like Meals on Wheels, community food and clothing drives, and local fire department fundraisers. We are actively engaged in land-use issues, advocating for responsible use of both public and private lands.
Please feel free to visit our Facebook page or attend one of our monthly meetings, for any additional information and events that are happening soon.
